When your property overlooks a gorgeous lake, you might as well maximize
the view from inside your home. This couple had a sloping wooded lot
and wanted a custom home that captured the natural feel of the surroundings.
We answered with a 4800 square-foot, all-brick, two-story home with
attached three-car garage and wraparound front porch. The slope in
the back permitted a walkout basement and double-hung windows in
the rear foundation wall. This created a feeling of a lower level
rather
than a basement, which prompted the owners to finish off that area.
Expansive glass walls on the first and second floors in the back
were designed to capture spectacular views of the surrounding woods
and
nearby lake.
